- When there are taxes on an invoice, Faxinating grabs the tax registration numbers from your account. These are the numbers that you put on the Loblaws registration form when you signed up for our services. We transfer these numbers to Loblaws on your EDI invoices. Please make sure that we have the correct numbers and in the valid format. Contact us if you are not certain. Format accepted by Loblaws:
- GST/HST: 15 characters. Must only consist of your Company's numeric GST/HST number followed by RT then followed by four digit numeric ID as advised by CRA. Example : 105411199RT0001.
- QST/PST: 16 characters. Must only contain of your Company's numeric QST/PST number followed by TQ then followed by four digit numeric ID as advised by CRA. Example : 1020034879TQ0001.
- Manitoba PST: 15 characters. Must only consist of your Company's numeric PST number followed by MT then followed by four digit numeric ID as advised by CRA.
- According to Loblaws' business rules, the taxes must be entered on each item as well as at the summary level.
- There are three tax fields: GST, PST (QST), and HST. Do not combine HST with GST/PST and vice versa.
- Our software cannot calculate the taxes at item level. They must be manually entered on each taxable item. Calculate it as price x quantity.
- The taxes at the summary level do not have to be manually entered. Click on the Calculate Totals button and the module will calculate the total of the taxes that you have entered at item level.
