A transaction refers to an invoice or a batch of invoices. If you have not yet set up the Internet connection, please do so now by following the steps below. If you have set it up, go to step 7.
- Click on File → Preferences → Internet.
- Enter the SOAP URL: https://soap2.fsiedi.com. * Note: Copy and paste to ensure that it is exact. The Protocol is SOAP2.
- Enter the name and password that Faxinating sent by email. If you have not received it, contact Customer Service at (514) 542-3161 x 236 or (800) 282-6283 x 236. * The letters MUST be in uppercase.
- Check Save Password.
- Click on Test URL. If the connection is successful, a dialog box will indicate a successful connection. If the connection was not successful, check that you are connected to the Internet. If you are still having problems, please contact Customer Service.
- When you have a successful connection, click on Save and close the window. You only have to do this the first time you transmit transactions.
- To send transactions, select/highlight the transactions. The selected transactions will turn blue.
- The transaction number is displayed in the Key Field (right side of the window).
- The Status will stay at New until the transaction has been sent.
- Click on Send & Update and a dialog box will pop up asking if you are sure you want to send the transactions to Faxinating. Click on Yes.
- Once the transaction has been sent (it should not take more than 5-10 seconds), a dialog box will indicate Successfully Sent.
- Once we receive the transaction, an 8-digit number will appear in the RefNum column. You can quote this number should you require assistance from Customer Support about a particular transaction.
- Once the transaction is sent, the Status field changes to Sent. If the transaction fails or is rejected, it can change to ERROR/REJECTED/FAILED. If this is the case, please be on the lookout for error reports. If you do not get an error report within an hour, contact us. NOTE: With some modules, the status changes from Sent to Accepted after a while, but not all modules have the ability to change the status (especially older modules) to accepted. It doesn't mean that the transaction wasn't accepted. If there is a reference number in the REFNUM column, then we received it. As long as you did not get an error report and you do not see ERROR/REJECTED/FAILED, the transaction was sent to your client.
- To resend a transaction, it has to be restored first. Select the transaction and click on Restore. A dialog box will pop up and will ask you if you are sure. Click on Yes.
- The Status is now New again. If the transaction needs to be edited, click on Edit and make the changes. Make sure to click on Save before closing the transaction window. If you click on Cancel, the changes WILL NOT be saved and sent to us, even though you will see them on the screen. Once the changes have been saved, click on Send.
